Finally. I'm back on the right track.
Review: TCU 31 Louisiana Tech 24 √
It looked a little scary at times and I wasn't quite sure the Horned Frogs were going to pull it off, but in the end, for the third time this season, TCU overcame a fourth quarter deficit and downed the Bulldogs. TCU QB Casey Pachall broke several single-season school records with 228 completions, 2,921yards and a completion percentage of 66.5. The previous record holder? Andy Dalton. TCU is now 3-0 in the Poinsettia Bowl, and I am 4-1 so far in picks.
Tonight, possibly the most one-sided match-up of the bowl season.
Preview: Arizona State v. Boise State
I honestly could stop there. If Boise doesn't win by 20, I'll be surprised. I'm not doubting Arizona State, but having the 7th ranked team in the nation playing three days before Christmas? That's unheard of. That's an injustice. I know the system gets some things right and others wrong, but what kind of excuse can you come up with for this one? For the second straight year, the Bronco's won't be in a BCS bowl game, despite seemingly having a deserving record. Boise State's QB Kellen Moore is the winningest quarterback in college football history, having passed Colt McCoy this season, and if a few more field goals had fallen through the uprights, he might have a couple more victories added to his name. I honestly don't know much about Arizona State other than they're on a four game skid right now. These teams have only met once on the playing field, back in 1996. The winner? ASU took the game 56-7 in Tempe. Don't be surprised if tonight's game has a similar score, only on the side of the Broncos.
